A Dropped Ball ?

By Ron Allen

As the all pro season wraps up in Argentina it’s time to look ahead to the pro-am season in Florida. In three weeks, the doors open at the National Polo Center with big promises of improved catering and better streaming, but the burning question remains, who’s playing?

One would think the money losing club would jump on the opportunity to find a path forward with improved publicity.  Media posts about teams and players. After all the entry deadline is long past. They know but the public doesn’t.

Before the first throw in it already looks like the ball has been dropped. Maybe they haven’t heard about the new professional ‘player owned’ club just 20 miles away. High goal polo at NPC is limited to just nine weeks. Not a lot of time to get it right.
